St ALbans Wedding Photographer

St Albans has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the UK, it makes for a truly gorgeous and romantic setting to say “I do”. I have had the privilege of working in this community for over 17 years as part time manager for a local charity (the wonderful Earthworks St Albans). I have also photographed lots and lots of lovely couples saying their vows here!

From the grandeur of its stunning cathedral to its olde worlde pubs and everything in-between, St Albans is jam packed with gorgeous wedding venues, and as such is one of my favourite places to photograph.

ST albans spectacular CATHEDRAL

Lady Chapel within St Albans Cathedral is simply one of *the* most incredible place to make your vows of marriage. Walk hand in hand with your newlywed down the longest naive in the country and expect nothing less than truly epic wedding photos.

We love our wedding photos, they are a fabulous reminder of our special day and have made a photo book and canvas prints from them. Steve did an amazing job of ensuring he got all the pictures we wanted and more, without being intrusive, and was super friendly and approachable from our first meeting through to producing final images. He worked really hard on the day, and clearly spent time making sure the photos were beautifully finished. We would and have recommended Steve to anyone needing a photographer, and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

St albans Pre-Wedding photo-shoots

Beautiful city parks, historic Roman features and quaint shopping arcades, St Albans is a beautiful and varied setting for those all-important pre-wedding photos. And for afterwards, there are independent coffee shops and pubs aplenty where we can sit in comfort to discuss your plans for the big day itself!

We couldn’t recommend Stephen more highly across the board. The photos he produced for our wedding were absolutely amazing. He is a true professional and gentleman. He made us feel completely at ease allowing us to enjoy our day whilst also capturing every aspect of it for us. We cannot thank him enough!

st albans registry office

Set inside the gatehouse of a former Victorian prison, St Albans’ registry office makes for a classy ceremony venue. It’s one of the most photogenic registry offices in the county and is one of my favorite (and most frequented) places to capture weddings. I’ve written more about why I love this venue for everything from intimate micro-weddings through to full-blown all-out wedding day celebrations here.

Stephen did our wedding in September and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough.
He arrived very early in the morning and spent a lot of time with the bridal party getting ready at the venue, then off to the church before everybody arrived, then back to the venue in time for our arrival as man and wife, he stayed long into the night in order to capture every element of our special day.
Nothing was too much trouble and for the most part of the day you wouldn’t have known he was even there.
Having recently received our photos we couldn’t be happier

St Albans Museum and Gallery

The Georgian Assembly Room and Victorian Courtroom of the St Albans Museum are beautiful, steeped in rich history, adorned with magnificent chandeliers and delicate gold leaf accents, creating the ideal setting for an unforgettable (and very photogenic!) wedding day.

Stephen was utterly fantastic! He was very friendly and professional throughout. My wife and I don’t normally enjoy being photographed, but Stephen made us feel so comfortable from the outset and took some amazing photos! I’d recommend him to anyone. Thank you so much, Stephen!

Stephen photographed our wedding last month, and he was absolutely amazing. His photos truly captured the special moments from our day. All our guests commented on how great Stephen was, and that he wasn’t intrusive. We will definitely recommend Pike Photography to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. A huge thank you to Stephen for being awesome!
